On 11th February 2026, TAWASANET officially launched a four-year programme funded by Civil Society in Development (CISU) through Danish People’s Aid (DPA) titled “Safe Water, Dignified Sanitation, Bright Future: Advancing WASH Services in East and Southern Africa (2026–2029)” in Morogoro.

The programme, which will be implemented from 2026 to 2029, aims to strengthen Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services in Tanzania, with a focus on the regions of Singida, Dodoma, and Dar es Salaam.

The launch event brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Water, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups, as well as other development partners, demonstrating strong multi-stakeholder collaboration in advancing the WASH agenda.

Through this initiative, TAWASANET reaffirms its commitment to promoting access to safe and reliable water, dignified sanitation, and a brighter, healthier future for communities.
