The 2025 Annual NGOs Forum was officially opened on August 11, 2025, by the Deputy Minister for Community Development, Gender, Women, and Special Groups, Hon. Mwanaidi Ali Khamis, who served as the Guest of Honour for the first day of the event.

The opening ceremony took place at the Jakaya Kikwete Convention Centre in Dodoma, bringing together key stakeholders from the non-governmental sector to reflect on their contributions to national development.

During the opening session, TAWASANET was honoured with a Certificate of Recognition for its outstanding coordination of members in the preparation of the NGOs’ Water Sector Contribution Report for three consecutive years, demonstrating its leadership and commitment to strengthening civil society engagement in the water sector.

As part of the event programme, the Guest of Honour visited exhibition booths of participating organizations, including the TAWASANET booth, where she learned more about the network’s initiatives and impact in advancing the WASH agenda.

The forum was held from August 11–13, 2025, providing an important platform for NGOs to discuss and evaluate their contributions to national development during the past five years (2020–2025).
